Instructions

Step 1
Freeze butter at least 30 mins before grating

Mix dry ingredients together
Step 3
Toss grated butter into dry ingredients with a fork
Step 4
Slowly add ice cold buttermilk until all ingredients combined in slightly shaggy, wet mixture
Step 5
Turn out onto floured surface and use a dough scraper or floured hands to fold in half
Step 6
Pat down to half inch and repeat folding 2-3 more times but not so much the butter starts to melt
Step 7
Pre-heat oven to 475° Optional - refrigerate dough while oven heats
Step 8
Hand pat dough into ½" and use thin lip glass cup or biscuit/cookie cutter to cut straight down for flaky edges.
Step 9
Place biscuits into greased pan or parchment paper lined pan with edges touching
Step 10
Brush tops with buttermilk and bake for 11-13 minutes or until desired golden brown. Brush again with butter and enjoy!
