Classic Pecan Pie (Corn Syrup Free)

4 steps
Prep:20minCook:1h
This corn syrup free pecan pie mimics the texture and taste just the same (this has a slightly more depth of flavor) as a corn syrup base pecan pie. The addition of warm spices adds a touch of character and depth as well.

Step 1
Heat your oven to 350° and go ahead and par bake your deep pie crust for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Add your dry ingredients to a bowl and mix. Then add all remaining ingredients together excluding the pecans and butter to the bowl and mix well. After everything is mixed add your butter and mix.
Step 3
Go ahead and add about 1c to 1-1/4 cups of your whole pecans to the pie crust and pour your pie filling base into the crust, leaving about 1/2 inch room. Use the remaining pecans to decorate the top of the pecan pie.
Step 4
Cover the crust edges so it doesn't burn and bake your pie 350 for 50 minutes up to 1 hour until edges of the pie are set but the center still has some jiggle. Let rest to room temp and then chill before serving.
