Preheat the oven to 180c.

Reserve 100ml of the custard. Add the rest of the custard, eggs, vanilla and milk to a large jug and whisk the mixture all together. Set aside

Halve the buns and arrange the bottoms in a medium sized oven proof tray. Place the caramel chocolate on top of the bases before topping them with the lids.

Pour over the custard mixture and sprinkle over the chocolate chips. Drizzle the pudding with the caramel sauce and cover with tin foil.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes before removing the foil and bake for another 10 to allow the pudding to golden.
Step 6
Serve into individual bowls and drizzle with leftover custard.
