Instructions

Step 1
Bring water to boil in bottom of double boiler on Medium heat. Place sugar, cornstarch, and salt in pan top on counter and blend well. Add milk and eggs and mix until smooth. Add butter. Set pan over boiling water. Stir to thicken with wooden spoon. Lower heat slightly as it begins to thicken. Stir constantly about 10 minutes. Gently mix in vanilla and fold in warm cooked rice. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Cover, remove from heat. Set 10 min, serve warm with whipped cream.
