How to Make Liquid Saffron

When making Persian food, it is useful to have saffron ready in a liquid form to mix with rice or add to a recipe. Liquid saffron is easy to make using regular saffron.

Instructions

Step 1
Grind the saffron in either a grinder or by hand with a mortar and pestle. If grinding it by hand you can also add a dash of sugar.
Step 2
Put the ground saffron in a small glass and add 1 cube of ice.
Step 3
Right away, add boiling water. Don’t add too much or it will be very light.
Step 4
Put something on top of the cup and keep it for ten minutes, then the saffron will be ready.
