Step 1
1) Preheat oven to 350

2) Sift together flour and cornstarch to make cake flour

3) Combine flour mixture, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside

4) Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Set aside

5) In a seperate bowl beat butter and sugar together
Step 6
6) Beat in oil for 2 minutes. Add egg yolks and vanilla, beat on medium. Add vinegar, molasses, and red dye
Step 7
7) Slowly add the flour mixture and buttermilk, alternating between the two. Beat on low.
Step 8
8) Fold in the egg whites
