Instructions

Step 1
Start heating milk slowly to boil

Melt butter to liquid
Step 3
Add sugar to butter, can add smidgeon vanilla essence or salt

Add flour, mix to combine
Step 5
Pour into pie dish and shape it
Step 6
Put pie crusts in oven for 10-15 minutes at 220C fan assisted

Beat eggs, add sugar, flour, cornflour, salt

Pour boiling milk into mixture, bit by bit, mixing after each addition
Step 9
Return milk with thickener to stove, stir 10-12 minutes on medium heat until thickens
Step 10
Add butter and vanilla essence, mix, then pour into shell
Step 11
Cool in fridge, at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
Step 12
Decorate with cinnamon
