Instructions

Step 1
Melt butter, add milk then eggs and mix till combined. Add lemon zest and vanilla extract to eggy mix. Add to flour and sugar mix. Mix till combined preferably with electric mixers.
Step 2
Pour into two loaf tins or one cake tin. Perfect for cup cakes too. Bake at 180 for 35 mins+- for loaf tins using skewer to check they are cooked.

For lemon syrup:

Use the juice of both lemons. Add half a cup of castor sugar or less to your liking. Bring to the boil until sugar has dissolved and it's a slightly thicker syrup.
Step 5
Once cakes comes out the oven use skewer to poke holes into the cake and spoon over hot syrup! Enjoy
