Ingredients

2 cupsflour
1 teaspoonbaking soda
1 teaspoonbaking powder
1 teaspooncornstarch
1 teaspoonsalt
1 teaspooncream of tartar
1.5 sticksunsalted butter
at room temperature
¾ cupbrown sugar
¼ cupwhite sugar
2eggs
at room temperature
2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
1 ½ cupstrail mix
1 cupchocolate chips
½ cupwalnuts
sea salt
for topping, optional
Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, cream of tartar, and salt. Set aside.
Step 2
In the bowl of a stand mixer or with a hand mixer- add butter and sugars to the bowl and cream together until fluffy (about 2-3 minutes)
Step 3
Add in eggs and vanilla extract and mix for another minute.
Step 4
Slowly pour in your flour mixture and mix until just combined, add in the trail mix, chocolate chips and walnuts, and mix for another 30 sec- 1 minute.
Step 5
Using an ice cream scoop- scoop dough into balls and roll.
Step 6
When ready to bake- preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 7
Place 6 dough balls evenly spaced out on a baking sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes. Take them out then using a mason jar or circle cookie cutter go around each cookie to form the perfect circle (not a requirement just helps make them look professional) Place bake in the oven for another minute or two until tops get golden brown.
Step 8
Let cool on a baking rack for 5 minutes, sprinkle with optional sea salt then enjoy!
