Instructions
Step 1
In a measuring cup or small bowl, combine the lukewarm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining sugar, whisked eggs, all purpose flour, salt, and melted unsalted butter. Add in the yeast mixture last.
Step 3
Mix the dough ingredients together. If it’s too wet add bread flour. Knead until window pane. Rest for 1 hour or until doubled in size
Step 4
While the dough is resting, prepare the filling (cinnamon brown sugar) and frosting (cream cheese) by combining required ingredients.
Step 5
Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down gently and place it on a floured surface. Flatten until the width is (4cm x portion) and cut every 4cm. spread the filling over the dough and roll.
Step 6
Place them in a prepared baking dish and cover them with a damp cloth. Let them rest for another 30 minutes.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 175-180c. Add a tablespoon of heavy cream on top of each cinnamon roll.
Step 8
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Step 9
Once the cinnamon rolls are done, let them cool for a few minutes before topping them off with the frosting, and you're done!
