Instructions
Step 1
CCP: Always wash hands before preparing food.
Step 2
CCP: If you have a resident with a food allergy, carefully follow protocol and always read all ingredient labels.
Step 3
Grease a 10x15-inch baking dish.
Step 4
Place brown sugar and butter in microwave safe bowl and heat in microwave until butter melts and sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Pour into the prepared baking dish and top with 1 ½ to 2-inch layer of bread pieces.
Step 6
Beat milk, eggs and vanilla extract together in a bowl;
Step 7
CCP: Wash hands after cracking raw eggs.
Step 8
Pour milk mixtures over bread into baking dish and move bread as necessary to ensure all bread is absorbing liquid. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.
Step 9
Preheat oven to 350F. Remove and discard plastic wrap from baking dish. Bake in preheated oven until browned and bubbling, about 50 minutes to 1 hour.
Step 10
CCP: Heat to 145 F or higher if to be served immediately or heat to 155 F higher if to be held on a steam table.
Step 11
CCP: Discard leftovers.
