Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°
Step 1
Grease muffin tin (12 cups) with cooking spray. Flatten burger bun halves to 1/4” thick with rolling pin & place each cut-side up in each prepared muffin cups.
Step 2
In lg. skillet over med.-high, heat oil. Add onion & cook, stirring, until soft (5 min.) Add ground beef; cook until no longer pink (6 min.). Coarsely chop up meat; drain fat.
Step 3
Return beef mixture to skillet; season with garlic powder, salt, & pepper. Divide ground beef mixture among burger bun cups and top each with cheddar cheese square.
Step 4
Bake until cheese is melted & buns are golden, (10 min.)
Step 5
Drizzle cups with ketchup & mustard, top with pickle, & sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 6
This burger bun trick is ENDLESSLY ADAPTABLE: The cups they form can be filled with anything (think: sloppy joe mix or taco meat, but don’t even stop there).
