Instructions

Step 1
Thaw dough completely (preferably overnight).
Step 2
Roll dough to 12” square.
Step 3
Cut square into 3 equal strips.
Step 4
Spread butter equally down the center of each strip.
Step 5
Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, and then sprinkle over the butter.
Step 6
Sprinkle nuts on top of sugar mix.
Step 7
Bring edges of a single strip together around the filling, sealing the edges.
Step 8
Repeat for other 2 strips to create ropes.
Step 9
Place ropes on greased cookie sheet and loosely braid together.
Step 10
Preheat oven to 375.
Step 11
Let rise until doubled - about 30 minutes.
Step 12
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Step 13
Cover with foil for last few minutes to prevent over-browning.
Step 14
Make glaze.
Step 15
Mix powdered sugar and milk together.
Step 16
Spread over braided dough after removing from oven.
Step 17
Sprinkle pecans over the top.
