This recipe came from my Grandma’s, Grandma who used to bake something every other day to feed her family - which also means this recipe has been passed through my family for over 120 years!!! Such a yummy holiday-flavored cake

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F & grease a 9x13 cake pan, set aside. In a small bowl, add the raisins & cover with boiling water - let soak for at least 5 minutes while you make the batter.
Step 2
In the bowl of a stand mixer (or large bowl & using hand mixer) beat butter & sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs & vanilla.
Step 3
Drain raisins but SAVE 1 c of the liquid. Then add remaining dry ingredients, drained raisins & 1 c liquid into the batter, combine until smooth.
Step 4
Pour batter into the greased cake pan, bake for 30-35 minutes until cake is puffed/middle set up. Use a toothpick to check!
Step 5
Let cake cool, best topped with whip cream, caramel sauce & extra cinnamon!
