Instructions

Step 1
In a sauce pan, combine your strawberries and granulated sugar. Cover the pan and cook on medium-low until your strawberries have softened
Step 2
Crush your berries with a fork or a potato masher
Step 3
Remove the lid and let the sauce thicken for about 10 minutes or until it’s a consistency you want
Step 4
To remove any extra seeds, pass your purée through a strainer; this step is optional. Personally, I prefer a silky purée
Step 5
Your purée will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks if you store it in a jar and let it cool before using
