Instructions
Step 1
Divide the basil leaves into 2 and place them in your chosen glasses.
Step 2
Using a cocktail muddler or the back of a teaspoon, crush the basil leaves to release their essential oils and aroma.
Step 3
Add the ice cubes to the glass (2 each).
Step 4
Squeeze the Australian finger limes into the glass (half a lime each).
Step 5
Pour in 50ml (2 fl oz) of gin into each glass.
Step 6
Top with as much or as little tonic water as you like. I only use about the same amount as the gin, but it's a matter of taste.
Step 7
Give it a stir, and garnish with the lime slices and basil sprigs.
