Instructions

Step 1
First preheat oven to 350.
Step 2
In a 13x9 in. Casserole dish, put down a layer of saltine crackers.
Step 3
Take a whole peeled tomato and cut it in half over layer of saltine crackers. Repeat until you have full layer of halved tomatoes.
Step 4
Add about 6 to 9 Pat's of butter randomly over tomatoes.
Step 5
Sprinkle 2 to 3 pinches of sugar over the tomatoes and butter layer.
Step 6
Then add American cheese slices. Cover tomatoes and butter and sugar layer.
Step 7
Start another layer of crackers and repeat steps 1 through 6 until you have filled the casserole dish ending with the cheese layer on top. Add extra tomato juice from can a few table spoons at a time. You dont want to add too much. The casserole will be too soggy.
Step 8
Bake at 350 until cheese is melted and starting to brown on top.
