Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients together and cut the butter in with a pastry cutter (or rub in with your fingers) until a coarse, crumbly texture
Step 2
Cut up the fruit into bite-sized chunks
Step 3
Place in baking dish and cover with topping
Step 4
Cover dish with foil for 25 minutes to steam the fruit
Step 5
Remove foil and cook until the juices are boiling around the edge; the topping should be well browned
