Step 1
1. Combine cranberries, sugar, and liquid and I have a pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, reduced to a simmer, and stir in five spice powder and salt.
2. Continue to simmer until most – but not all — of the cranberries have burst, about five minutes. Start in some orange zest if you feel like it, remove from heat, and let it cool.
Three. Refrigerate in an airtight container until cold, at least five hours and up to three days. Or freeze and defrost by putting it in refrigerator the night before. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
