Instructions

Step 1
In a pitcher add 1c of water and add sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves and water becomes clear. Set aside. Depending on how sweet your watermelon is you may need to add more sugar to adjust the sweetness.
Step 2
Using a blender working in batches if needed, add watermelon cubes and ½ c of water. Blend on low, and increase to high until smooth.
Step 3
Working in batches, slowly pour the blended watermelon mixture using a fine-mesh strainer over the top of a large measuring cup and move the pulp around with a spatula.
Step 4
Add the strained watermelon juice into the pitcher with the sugar/water mixture and stir until combined. Taste and adjust sweetness level if necessary.
Step 5
Optional, rim glasses with a wedge of lime and dip in Tajin.
Step 6
Fill glasses with ice, pour watermelon agua fresca over ice and enjoy!
