Pineapple and Mango Agua Fresca

Super easy, delicious, and refreshing agua fresca! The more ripe your fruit is, the less sugar you'll need, add sugar bit by bit to your pineapple simple syrup and adjust as needed!

Instructions

Step 1
Wash the outside of your pineapples
Step 2
Remove and dispose the crown of the pineapple. Peal the pineapple and remove the core.
Step 3
Place the peals and core in a large pot. Add 12 cups of water to your pot.
Step 4
Place your pot on the stove over medium high heat. Let it heat to a boil
Step 5
Chop your pineapple into chunks. Peal your mangoes, dispose of the peals, and cut into chunks
Step 6
Once pineapple water is boiling, let it boil for 20 minutes
Step 7
Add the sugar to the pineapple water after it finishes boiling, you may add more or less sugar depending on your taste
Step 8
Whisk sugar in pot until dissolved. Remove the pot from heat, and allow it to cool
Step 9
Add your pineapple and mango chunks into a blender. Strain one cup of your pineapple simple syrup into the blender. Blend until smooth
Step 10
Pour your puree into a large pitcher or drink dispenser. Optionally, strain the puree into the pitcher/dispenser.
Step 11
Remove and dispose the peels and core from your pineapple syrup. Strain the syrup into your pitcher/dispenser.
Step 12
Add 5 cups of water to your pitcher/dispenser, and whisk everything together. Optionally, add ice, or chill in a refrigerator
Step 13
Serve with ice and enjoy!
