you can find my favorite sea salt here

⅓ cuplard
or 1/3 butter, or half butter half lard, depending on what you have on hand, you can also substitute coconut oil for the lard but i would recommend using a refined coconut oil rather than virgin coconut oil because the refined has a more neutral flavor

3 Tbswater
cold

1 ¼ cupsflour
i would recommend using either spelt, einkorn, or all-purpose flour whole wheat would work, too, but it might change the texture a bit

½ cupcane sugar
whole, or rapadura or sucanat, or you can also use brown sugar for more molasses flavor

½ cupbutter

1 tspcinnamon

1 tspnutmeg

¼ teaspoonallspice

½ tspsalt

¾ cupwater
warm

¾ cupmolasses
or 1/2 cup of molasses and 1/4 cup pure maple syrup

½ tspbaking soda
