Sriracha mayonnaise
FridgeSriracha mayo is simply a combination of two of the world’s favorite condiments: sriracha and mayonnaise. Although both can certainly hold their own individually, when combined, some think the result is even better. Smooth and creamy with a little kick, sriracha mayo is good on burgers, fries, sandwiches, tacos, and so much more. Chances are you're quite familiar with mayonnaise. It’s a staple ingredient made from eggs and oil which is found in many kitchens across the world. In fact, you may be surprised to find out that mayo beats ketchup as the most popular condiment. It’s thick and creamy with a slightly sour taste. Sriracha, on the other hand, has only become widely popular in more recent years. The sauce itself is made from chili peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. It is a popular condiment found in Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai restaurants in the United States. It’s bright red and creamy with a bit of spice. Put the two together, and you’ve got an amazing condiment that’s creamy, tangy, and spicy. Today, sriracha mayo can easily be found in the supermarket. But if you're looking for something a step above store bought, it’s also incredibly simple to make at home. Just mix together 1 cup of mayo, 2-3 tablespoons of sriracha, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon or lime juice, 1 minced garlic clove, and salt to taste. And voila, you’ve got yourself some delicious homemade sriracha mayo!
