Classic tuna salad comes from an era when fewer spices were used, but I do tend to make it more interesting. But how I do that depends on my mood. Lemon pepper is pretty standard, but I also add things to go in different directions. Choices include curry (or just turmeric), dill, ginger, za'atar, and/or a spicy pickled element like pickled poblanos, peperoncini, or jalapenos, depending on how spicy I want it.
