Followed the recommendations of one of the reviews to check strawberries for sweetness before adding sugar, mine only need 1/2 cup. No lemon juice! Also, only used about 2/3 of the cornstarch slurry, and per that reviewer, stopped cooking one minute after sauce turned ruby colored and clear. Mine had already started thickening at that point. Absolutely delicious strawberry pie filling, if you have nice juicy ripe strawberries!
