Although the flavor and rise were perfect on this recipe.. I don’t feel they are a good “homemade hamburger bun” these are most roll-Esque. They were good and being it seems hard to find a good review on a burger bun recipe… I would still go with this one. Becuase taste and outcome were there, just maybe not the perfect bread for this application. Still totally useable as a bun, just not a classic bun. And I definitely would only make these if you’re using them fresh, out of the oven. The flavor was a light sweetness with a nice dash of yeast. They were more flavorful than a traditional bun, but the texture wasn’t spot on.
