My family loved it, 2 year old included! I used 1.5 lbs of hamburger, one can cream mushroom, and one can cream celery, a whole onion, 1.5 cups whole milk, and a lot of cheese. I'm not sure how many potatoes but it was definitely more than the recipe called for.
I seasoned the hamburger with Worcestershire, garlic salt, and a touch of liquid smoke. I then mixed it with the soup mix.
I put a layer of potatoes in my casserole dish, put a layer of soup mix with hamburger over it, a layer of cheese, more potatoes, more soup mix, one more layer of soup mix, and then a layer of cheese. Every layer of potatoes I would sprinkle them with some more garlic salt.
Turned out pretty good.
