I followed the recipe step for step. I used diced tomatoes but I crushed mine up a little, I also added a bit of tomatoe and Basile spaghetti sauce, while the meatballs and sauce was simmering I added in garlic and onion powder with some Italian seasoning. I also brushed my sub buns with butter and Italian seasoning. I have a picky 4 year old she gave it a 10/10.
