Next time. Half the sugar. Possibly I won’t put any in and people can add their own. Mary Berry does 1 tablespoon & that was definitely enough for 75g rice
Made with one third double cream. Two thirds skimmed milk
Grease proof paper over the top to stop a skin forming worked a treat
Used arborio rice as that is what I had in. It needed more milk which I stirred through at end.
My slow cooker only needed on low
So this is what worked well for me
90g rice (I used arborio)
- 600ml skimmed milk
- 100ml double cream
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 level tablespoons sugar
Buttered grease proof paper over the top
30 minutes on high, 3 hours low
Stir hourly
