YUM YUM! Who doesn’t love an ooey gooey Rice Krispie treat? My daughter and I made these for our Halloween movie night this year. We had made 8 ghosts, 5 pumpkins and 6 black cats from this recipe and had scraps left over. I made two changes to the recipe so they were dairy free. I used dairy free butter and Betty Crocker vanilla frosting. I couldn’t locate dairy free white candy melts in time so I melted the frosting in a bowl of warm water and frosted the bodies of the ghosts, sprinkled with white decorating sugar and used df mini chocolate chips. The frosting was just the right amount added sweetness and stayed soft so the gooey sticky texture wasn’t lost. These were so fun and I am already thinking ahead for how easy these will be to switch up for Christmas movie nights!
