I’ve made this recipe so many times, it’s my go-to cookie recipe and I always make extra to freeze. I’ve added chopped nuts and swapped out a portion of the chocolate chips for caramel chips before and it was still perfect. My recommendation is to make sure you properly chill the dough after portioning out the cookies into balls; whether it’s by leaving in the fridge for several hours or just freezing it. I freeze ALL of the portioned dough and bake a few cookies at a time so I can have fresh hot cookies whenever I want. Just make sure to add a few minutes to the bake time to compensate.
