In the area I live in, White Castle has fallen far. The last time we had it, we got sick. The bread was a soggy mess, and the hamburger didn't even taste like hamburger. It was nasty. I had never been before, and I will never be there again. My old man raved about how good White Castle was. I think it says something that he ate half a slider and 5hrew the box of 20 in the garbage. I found this and was hoping it would be like the White Castle he remembered. This turned out yummy, and he says it's close. But he says we are gonna use King Hawaiian Rolls next time. The crescent rolls don't do it for him. We used provolone cheese because we couldn't find American cheese in our area. I hate mustard, so that was nixed. He can't chew pickle, so we used relish. Otherwise, we followed the recipe. I thought it was really good. He does, too. He just wants to change the bread. I'll definitely make this again, his way.
