These were surprisingly AMAZING. My mashed potato game is changed forever. I opted for an overnight cook on low for eight hours as I wanted to prep for Thanksgiving. They had a rich golden color which was amazing.
Recommended: those caramelized onions were decadent, I will be doing this all the time in the future.
Changes: Overnight cooked with four cups of water instead of two (you drain it anyway). I used shredded Brie instead of Gruyère (what I had) and it was still excellent. I reserved some onions to place on top for playing.
