this made me unironically say holy mackerel. it was so good and so easy. used tinned mackerel instead of fresh. didn't have olives so i added extra capers. used crushed red pepper in place of a regular red pepper. never used fennel before and was very apprehensive since it has a very licorice-y smell and i can't tolerate anything licorice, but it cooks down to a really nice flavor. the overall dish tastes restaurant-quality imo, and you'll definitely impress whoever you cook it for. new go-to. cannot recommend enough!
