Made this twice . First time, Used puff pastry crust, probably pre-bake for best results.
Added bacon and leftover chorizo, sliced up brussel sprouts and 1/2 jalapeno, sauteed in bacon grease (add in when bacon is 2/3 cooked).
Used feta cheese. Used cashew milk in place of heavy cream.
Second time:
Followed the recipe as written with the following exceptions:
Added salt to the quinoa crust. Next time I’ll add more to balance it.
Used cashew milk instead of heavy cream.
Next time I’ll add spinach. Recommend serving with vinegar based hotsauce because this needs more flavor and vibrancy than the current measurements. Perhaps some truffle tamari, or Indian curry powder. It’s a great base to add in to and make it yours.
