Hi, thanks for your feedback. The recipe states to chill the dough only for 20 minutes. But if you wanted to make it ahead of time then it could be chilled overnight. I also mentioned that if you did chill it overnight than to let it sit on the counter at room temp. for 5-10 minutes to soften it up a bit. But thanks again for the feedback I'll look into how I can make the cookies less dry.

After chilling in the fridge overnight, the dough didn’t get pliable until probably 20-30 minutes after I pulled it out. As for the dryness, not a huge thing, it’s probably the style of the cookie, so that it can withstand the jam being added to the top of it. Regardless, these cookies were a hit at Christmas Eve dinner!
