I used half granulated sugar, half brown sugar. My topping tasted like a sugar cookie. I also added brown sugar on top after 25 minutes. JUST SKIP THE BROIL STEP. Also, it doesn't say what to do with the butter. I suggest melting it so that your topping is easier to spread. However, if you can just put it in the oven for a few minutes, take it out, and then spread your topping. And another thing, just leave out the spices. My other cobbler was disgusting.
