I've made this several times and it's always good! Today I made it with canned beans because I didn't have time to fast soak dry beans.
I used two 15 oz cans of beans, 1 quart of chicken stock, and 1 can of coconut cream. I didn't use water at all and I kept all other ingredients the same. I boiled the cream and stock with the beans for about 5 minutes, then added all other ingredients and simmered for 20 minutes. I let it rest for about 10 minutes. It was still so good and took a fraction of the time to make.
