First things first, I only used the Dutch Baby recipe here, not the ham & topping. I'm sure that topping would have been sublime, but we felt like salmon and cheese so that's what we did.
Doubled the recipe, as my partner is a big eater. And well, LOOK at the result. It's MAGNIFICENT. Thought it was going to eat us for a split second when I opened the oven after 25 mins, but we won in the end.
It looks huge but it's actually quite airy, so we ate about 2/3 of it. I think that a 1.5x batch will be perfect for us two, in the future. So depending on your toppings and appetites, you may also want to adjust accordingly.
It also looks insane, but I promise it was absolutely delicious. Very similar to a giant Yorkshire pudding. And absolutely minimal effort, just make sure the oven and pan is hot, melt the butter quickly, batter in fast, don't open the oven while it's cooking. It's like magic in there. Will definitely be making this again and again.
Preheated to 230c, cooked at 200c for 25min.
