Pretty easy, though prep did take a little bit of time to boil and shred the potatoes. That was my least favorite part, but the crispy potato topping was a favorite for me and my husband. I baked it a little longer than 30 min, probably about 45 - 50 min, so the potatoes on top could get more golden/crispy.
I added too much dill, made it a little bitter, so next time I'll add maybe 3/4ths of what. I did, so maybe 3 tbs?
I didn't find double cream so used heavy whipping. Still good, but wondering if the extra creamy-ness would make it even richer in flavor.
Overall quite tasty. We ate way more than the estimated 6 servings - we probably ate almost 3/4ths of the dish just us two, but that was because it was tasty more than the portions being small. Served it with blanched green beans.
