I made this recipe about three times now. I was skeptical about following the recipe exactly, since it seemed like a lot. However, it turned out perfect! There’s some crunch to it which I liked. I noticed that I have to give it an additional 5-10 minutes to get brown. If I didn’t, it came pale white and after testing it with a fork. It was which technically safe to eat and baked through, however, I didn’t want that look. Another thing is that after making the batter, I leave out in the open like on the table or a counter top, for about 30-1hr (personally 45 mins). Just to give time to the baking powder and stuff to mix and do its thing. Personally for me it wasn’t oily and was good for my family and I! I made these from some leftover batter I put in the refrigerator for abt a day. There might be a slight difference in taste, but nothing bad! I used regular sized baking chocolate chips, so I’ll make sure to update when I get some! I topped it off with some chocolate chips at the top. I noticed I would want to put more batter rather than so many chocolate chips in it. Since I like to “even it out” so if you’re someone like me, try to stick to the one cup! Good luck for anyone else doing this recipe, I would 100% recommend it!
