All I could taste was the oil on the pasta (or as my husband put it, "greasy string"). Normally I think he's picky, but I have to agree this time. I only got maybe three bites that tasted like garlic, and I couldn't taste chives or cheese at all. This is even after using about half as much oil as the recipe recommends.
My toddler likes it, but he likes anything that's pasta. I wouldn't consider that an endorsement.
I would not waste my time again. I'll stick to carbonara.
