In my experience, this is not a 30 minute meal. It takes time to peel and devein 1.5 lbs of shrimp. It's also not a one pot meal. It took me 2 hours including cleaning the shrimp to make this meal. It tasted good (the asparagus simply boiled with no seasoning means have a heavier hand with other seasonings). I will definitely look for ways to augment the recipe to use less pots and take less time to make for a weeknight meal.
