If you 'fry' the tofu in an air fryer, you can skip the oil and cornstarch. I find it's just less fuss to do it in the air fryer, anyway.
It was delicious and filling, but wooo was it spicy! I only used ~1 tbs of gochujang (all I had left in the tub) but it still came out pretty zingy. It was fine for me, but too much for my husband. He agreed it was super tasty, though.
