Honestly, after reading the comments I changed it quite a bit in order to avoid it turning out bland. When I was cooking the zucchini, I added more garlic and half an onion to the mix. Also, more spices are a must have for the sauce in order for it to not be super bland. I also added some ground beef for some extra protein and flavor. The end result was fairly delicious, especially if you're heavy handed with the basil and some parmesan.
