Like others have mentioned, I cut the sugar in half, and used ground turkey. I also cut the soy sauce amount because I didn't have low salt or coconut aminos. I added an extra 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes and a bag of fresh spinach (I didn't feel like making a separate vegetable). It was really good! I'd tried this recipe before (from a random online search for a dinner recipe) and it really was very sweet. Cutting the sugar in half made a big difference.
