The flavor profile of this dish is INCREDIBLE. The spices blend exceptionally well together to make a really flavorful dish. And it actually has a bit of spice to it! We are spice lovers and we thought it was just right.
We had diced steak on hand and used it instead of chicken, and mixed in some fresh green beans to the sliced onion before cooking it all together. Both of these additions were great, although following the recipe verbatim would be fine too. The star of the show here is the marinade and spices in the rice and how they come together.
