Made it together with my 12 year old. We used a frying pan and two saucepans, however, this can easily be done in a single pan 👍.
It was a warming and delicious soup. I would describe it a very basic Indian daal rather than a Mexican stew. [We left the hot sauce out making the dish acceptable for a wider range of palates. You can add hot sauce and/or salt to taste at service]. Our dish looked exactly like the picture 🤩.
