Definitely season the steak prior to cooking. Salt, pepper, red pepper, Worcestershire sauce. I did 1.5x the sauce recipe to make sure there was enough. Put a bit of salt on the broccoli. Made all 3 components separately. Broccoli first, meat second- stacked meat on top of broccoli to let them marry a bit. Cooked sauce by itself in the same pan I was using. Instead of mixing all together I just plated the rice, broccoli/meat, then poured sauce over it.
