Sizzled some cumin seeds and a bay leaf prior to adding the onion. Added some chili powder and jalapenos. When cooking the potatoes and lentils, I needed to add probably about 2.5 cups of water not just 1 cup. I added some crushed fenugreek leaves near the end of the simmer time. It's very good and hits the spot. We'll be eating this again and working it into our rotation.
